    Good morning everybody,

I'm putting together our travel lists for this summer's 5th wheel travel plans and I was hoping some of you drivers could tell me about some of the truck stops listed below. I'll be buying gasoline and need a sit down restaurant and either have not been to or forgot what some of them are like. Here's the list:

1- Dan's Truck Stop- Hattiesburg, Ms.
2- 45 Truck Stop- Corinth, Ms.
3- Queen City Truck Stop- Meridian, Ms.
    4- TA- Meridian, Ms.
5- North 40 Truck Stop- Halladay, Tn.

I appreciate anyone's opinions on these. Be safe drivers and have a great day.

    bthomann Thanks this.

North 40 is the same as it’s always been.
I haven’t been to the Ta in meridian since covid, but Ta has cut hours or done away with some of the restaurants.

Dans is good. Mom and Pop operation with really good food and pie.
The 45 is ok. Not a lot of food options.
Queen City is ok. Just off the interstate.
TA is ok. Actually better than most. Not a lot of parking though.
No problems with the North 40.

    Have a happy trip

    Thanks Opus,

I haven't been to that part of Mississippi in way too many years ago. I try and plan my trips based on 9mpg which is what my Ran averages pulling the 5th wheel and a 34 gal tank. We'll be coming from Gulf Shores, Al. heading to Madison, Ms. to visit our son and then east to Guntersville, Al. We'll be coming back from the northeast to Hurricane Mills, Tn. and then south thru Meridian, Ms. before heading back to Winter Haven, Fl. for Nov. and the winter. It's a lot nicer being retired and pulling the 5th wheel rather than the large car. I appreciate your reply and input. Stay safe and healthy.

But rather than the TA or Queen City, you might want to look at Kewanee Truckstop. Exit 169.
Very old school and much more interesting than the other two.
If you plan on driving/visiting a lot, you might want to look into the Truckers Path app. It's free and very useful.

The 45 in corinth use to have an excellent sit down " hole in the wall" restaurant but its been closed for several years now. I probably wouldn't make that a stop if I was RVing around the country...

Dan's is awesome, my friend. Great breakfast food and plenty of parking.

Have never personally been to the 45 in Corinth, but I've you need to watch for potholes.

Queen City is good. Someone on here said it wasn't as good as it used to be, but I like it.

The T/A in Meridian is decent, but has limited restaurant hours, so catch it if you can! Ha!

North 40 is one of the best independents still open in the entire USA. The owner still personally
visits each table when he can.

Since you'll be spending quite a bit of time in Mississippi, I see, I also highly recommend these
independent truck stops if you have time, all three of them located along Interstate 22.

    Joe Joe's in Red Banks
Flick's Local Express in Potts Camp
    C & T in Hickory Flat

I do all the time. That helps with most of my stops.
