On the SSD, honestly just a suggestion from someone earlier in this thread for the build. As for the CPU. I've been a fan of AMD since forever. I found price/quality was much better early on. Though I know Intel might be surpassing them somewhat currently. That'll change pretty quick. Despite the propaganda from their executives. So I guess it's like the old Apple vs Android, or Mac vs PC. It's what worked for me and hasn't failed me. So I stick with what is good to me.

The difference between Plus and Pro SSD for a casual user is minimal. Unless your doing heavy work loads you won't see a difference in the operations of the OS/games/programs. The only reason I went with higher end is for the PCIe 4.0 bandwidth when doing renders or 3d modeling. (Plus when I upgraded, I went all AMD so that helped) When I'm gaming, I don't notice a difference between the 3.0 970 Evo I had, and the current 4.0 Kingston KC3000; And the IOPS speeds themselves are night and day.
As for why AMD? Only this year has Intel put out a product that actually is better, but even then, only to the people who want bragging rights for the fastest CPU. On the GPU front, yea I agree nvidia is still king, but if you don't need/want DLSS or Ray tracing, it's a toss up. not to mention what you can even get now-a-days without selling your first born to get one. -
It's a bit messy, but my build and work closet. It's all still WIP as I'm redoing the room again slowly.

I found a nice dust cover for the top of the case I'll be getting. Plus I think I will be picking up some better fans. Configuration will be 2 front and 1 bottom intake. Paired with 1 rear and top AIO cooler exhaust. So essentially a 6 fan set up.

This is my current build/setup. There have been some peripheral changes (Corsair speakers, different Corsair mouse, keyboard, etc.) but it's still largely the same.

Odd question. Someone in here had a build with a support for the cards on the MB. I'd like to get one for the GPU. But not sure what it's called to search for it.

Those are mobo specific if your looking for one ON the board. Other than that, search for GPU support bracket and you will have a huge list to choose from. I personally went with something like this. It still makes the build look "clean" but keeps sag from happening. PPCS is a good website, I have bought from them many, many times. The one I have is actually from MNPC tech... But it's the same concept.

After I type in the search term, I usually look at the images, so I can see what it is I want/looks interesting, before I start randomly clicking on web pages...Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -

Curious if anyone has done a dual boot of Linux and windows 10. If so. What did you do for your partition scheme? I was planning on 50G for both OS partitions. But that leaves me roughly 900G for the other partitions.
