Has anyone here transferred jobs out of state and held on to their full seniority? I am thinking of getting on with ABF and would like to know if any of the linehauls that transfer with their seniority. Colorado would be the destination if all goes well.

Well, you have company seniority--which you never lose as long as you work there--and yard seniority, which applies to the particular yard you're at. If you want your company seniority to apply wherever yard you go to, as far as I know only Saia does that.

Would have to be on a Change Of Operations in order to retain your seniority.
Even on a change one has to bid the gaining destination against all other Loosing locations.

I’ve heard Saia and Estes do this, but I’m not 100% sure.

It’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to do that at ABF (or any union carrier).

Yup, Saia you keep seniority. Saia needs 40 Linehaul drivers in Denver. You’ll get a schedule off the bat. Might be a night grand junction or night wamsutter run Monday through Friday though.

Saia and estes as a few people have said. My buddy at saia worked at an end of the line terminal for 20+ years, transferred into the hub and bumped 50+ drivers down a notch, stole a day run from everybody on his first bid lol. He's my hero because I'm planning on moving to a warmer climate myself

Thinking about applying to saia in New Orleans for the time being but they pay overtime after 45 hours. Is this standard across the board? Are there any perks that offset this?

WalMart. With as many DCs as they have you should be able to transfer just about anywhere.
