Very true! I fought everyday at Miller Intermediate, dodged drunk red-necks coming out of Gilley's, and popped my cherry in Stinkadena.

I ask myself if I am about to repatriate the stomping grounds of my youth, or if I am circling the drain.

As a trucker, do you want to do some roaming or just stick around Houston area?

If you have cash, there is a '97 Freight for 3600.00, and some other trucks for low 5 figures.

Personally, I'd like to stay in one place every night. I have other income streams and like to eat what I cook, get in a workout. etc. I've been in Asia for the past 12 years and now south of Diego a bit. A home base would be...different.

LTL or fuel is where I am looking.

Thanks for asking, China. You have made a rep for yourself here! Nice!

Eagle Transport is a good choice for you then.
Hire new cdl school grads from 200 hr. schools.
Some good schools are in Houston.

Worked there for 8 months after I got my year in at Schneider bulk. Left and went back to tankers hauling fuel….linehaul is a long game I’d play it at a different company

From what I’ve heard through the grapevine YRC is having financial struggles. I don’t know if they’re on the verge of bankruptcy but they definitely gotta make some changes. I was at one of their big yards the other day and the folks that worked there were super nice. Went out of their way to make sure I had a place to park for the night as I was out of hours and even asked me if I needed anything to eat or the restroom. That said, their office was ancient. They run a paper filing system you haven’t seen probably since 1982 in there. Tons of people working in The administrative department tripping over each other. I think they need to clean up and streamline their operation a little better.
