The only port ive ever found that was worth a dam is terminal 30 equipment side in seattle... Just across the water from terminal 18 which is the portal to hell.

    That big old dusty shed.

The only good thing about the city port is that you can get in there in the week hours BEFORE the traffic gets bad OR the Houston DOT set up under the bridge. Go sit in the parking lot, get checked in at 8am, go to the freakin shed and wait for a completely different set of slackers to come in, and EVERYONE expects you to know how things work there. Riiiiiiiiight….

Iused to go to Galveston a lot. Couldn’t even get into the port until 8 and parking in Galveston is rare. But I could get $1500-2000 to go to Cat on the west side of Houston. 45 miles, but it is going to eat up the majority of your day, so make sure it pays your day rate. Taking some OSOW through the middle of Houston, up i45 to the north side of the i610, going west to that 290 which has been under construction for the last 30 years….

Dusty doesn't even begin to describe it. By the time I threw all my straps, I thought I was going to choke to death. I pulled it outside to finish up, after spending 10 minutes coughing so hard it felt like I was going to get a hernia.

Guys that work there were all walking around like it was nothing, iron lungs I guess.

Ah, the wind has arrived ahead of the storm. Now if it could stop shaking the truck or just rock it gently.

    Back to sleep hopefully.
