I am interested in the trucking business but I don't drive a truck and at this point I am not planning on getting a license. But I can afford to buy a truck. Are there good companies out there to whom I could lease my truck and they would handle all the other details including the driver?
I would really appreciate any good information on this. Thanks.
Leasing on as an owner but not a driver/operator?

If you can get a day cab / sleeper truck with a drop axel then I can find a driver and keep that truck moving.

Take that money and go buy real estate.
Or take that money and go to the craps table.
Your odds are better.Badmon, blairandgretchen, LoneRanger and 2 others Thank this. -
If you want to make a small fortune trucking, start with a big one.Dino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this.

You mean something like a condo rental management company so that they would take care of you truck, find drivers for you, find you loads, pay the driver and, of course, above all pay you... the investor who remains shielded from all that trucking business hustle?
I am afraid that such lease onto companies do not exist and most of all this can hardly be a side business. You see...if that were that easy, I would have done it long time ago myself.Badmon, blairandgretchen, Dino soar and 1 other person Thank this. -
There won’t be any profit left after the fuel and payment and insurance and driver and repairs and maintenance.
but there is A lot lot lot of risk .
take the money and invest it in real estateDino soar and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I provide 90% of the fuel for free - what I offer is already ahead of the game.

actually on Facebook there’s an advertisement for such a company. Some young guy dressed like a drug dealer is doing it. Ge can offer you A-Z trucking all you got to do is finance the truck. He claims he’s a serial entrepreneur.
I am not going to advertise for him but idiots are a plenty for guys like that to take advantage of.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Anyone doing all the work doesn't need anyone looking over their shoulder looking for what happened to the profits...
By the time everyone takes their share you would be lucky to break even...be like doing a lease purchase 'cept you own it.
Question is how long will you own it.
