I know it won't be ideal. Looks like the Kenworth I was going to buy may fall through if I can't get ECM mileage verified.

Looking around I found this FLD112. 210" WB. Looks like it's got as much room behind the cab as my Volvo does, and the Volvo exhaust adds 12" on the back.

I've got plenty of aluminum plate and could build my own headache rack pretty thin. I can build some boxes too to add onto the trailer for chains and straps.

With a custom headache rack against the back of the bunk, I think I could still hang over a foot or so if needed.

Just needing something to keep me working till I can find exactly what I'm looking for, and I really like the little Freightliners.

Figured some advice from the experienced is in order.

You could make it work but it's not ideal. I'm 218. With 2 side boxes and a steel box that went between the cat walk for chains and binders. You could make it work

Wow, that thing is 6ft shorter than my truck!
Gonna depend on your king pin setting too. If your king pin sits back, that pushes your trailer up against your headache rack.

It would work. I'd be more concerned with the 8 lug wheels. I would carry a spare. Not that easy to find in the middle of the night.

I'm only 235" with set forward steer. That has about the same rear spacing as mine. But I dont normally haul loads with front overhang.

@singlescrewshaker new Stinky Pinky is close to that.

Holy crap! I never paid attention to that. Nice catch. Yes, definitely hard to find those wheels. I've got a set of aluminum hub pilot 10 stud hubs I could swap to, but I would hope to be out of the truck in a few months.

    Spec wise it's a 410HP C12
    10 speed with 3.22? and tall 22's.

Trying to get a vin# to verify specs.

You can still buy them new. I wouldnt spend the money to swap them either. Unless you found corroded hubs. No strength difference. Not much weight either. Some fleets did it for weight, some for theft deterrent. Just carry a spare if over the road. Or have a few in shop.

By the time you get a headache rack on there, you won't have alot of space between the rack and the trailer, that's for sure. However, if the price is right and it will do the job.....why not. If nothing else, it would make a good spare when you get something else. I don't know a thing about those small cats. What year is it?
