Look into Westcan Transport main yard in Edmonton, Alberta. I know they had a program to recruit overseas drivers.

If you only truck within the province of Alberta, they allow 15 hours per day, 7 days a week (only province that allows that).
Everywhere else it's 14 hours a day to 70 hour a week maximum and 24 hours off at least every 14 days. 36 hour reset if you like.

That’s easy, I drive in Jamaica all the time. The only time it’s a mess is if you’re driving a LH drive vehicle in a LH roadway, or the other way around. If you’re in something appropriate for the roadway you’re on it just all makes sense from where you’re sitting. The biggest problem is looking like an idiot when you go to the wrong door first getting in.

    Company driver only.
Don't dream to be anything else.
Find a company that works for you. Change it if it doesn't. Don't be a slave.
Retire at 65. Enjoy life after retirement and forget that trucking ever existed.
Good enough tips? Do you need more?

    BigHossVolvo Thanks this.
