Im going into my 4th Mx
    Had a 2014,2019,2021, and just bought a 2019
Most miles I’ve had on them is 650k but the one I just bought is a big bunk with 340k on now and I plan to keep that one longer

Would you recommend changing out the rod bearings at like 700k?

I’ve heard that is good PM?

Surely wouldn't hurt anything. Paccar has no recommended bearing shell replacement interval. I don't think earlier than that would be necessary unless the hours are stupid high.

It might be but ive seen it work. It show you codes with description of cause. Even if you replace a sensor you have to tell the ecm you replaced it even with def filters replaced or burned you have to tell ecm. With derate to 5mph or even torque derate from 25 to 50 % from a leaking injectors to case filter high pressure. It also give you live date. With def sensor running from 40 to 500 bucks for parts with out paying 200 bucks a hr for labor example the high temperature def sensor threw a 25?% derate on my truck. I drove to rush mechanic put the scanner on seen bad sensor change clear force regin $1600.00 the part was $125.00 the rest was scanner and labor. So i need my toy. Clear codes clear derate force regin reset def filters live data. Plus paccard.

I'm a new member trying to find help with the def derate of my 2012 Pete 388 mx13. Just replaced the def tank sensor-urea level, cleared codes, forced regen. The tank is full and the mechanical guage shows full, but the light still started blinking at 11 miles into a test drive, turned back and shut it off. 10 minutes later start truck and it's off again. Second test drive 17 miles into and had to turn back again due to light coming back on blinking. It is not on solid... it's blinking right away. Do you know with all your experience with this year mx, what is the red indicating light talking to, or getting info from, to let you know you're getting low on def. Mechanic is two weeks out to diagnose it. I would like to limit my down time just waiting for mech. to be freedup and also just throw R&R parts at it like most dealers will. Thank you in advance for your time. Ken

I had the same issue with my 13 kw t660
With the epa 10 mx13 it was the brain box for the emission system it was fried and harness has corrosion wicking up the wires. located by the Def tank

I just realized I already posted this a page back

Maybe a little off track but I had a 2014 Mx and bought it with 190k
It kept throwing codes and light on saying a sensor here or one there etc and 2 shops just replaced them and sent me out

Finally shut me down in Ogden Utah, KW dealer there said it was the egr that needed to be flushed, said he had trucking companies that did the flush every year and never had issues

I had them flush it and never had any more lights come on
I have had 3 more Mx trucks since and do the egr flush each year or so and no issues
