I just got my 2017 peterbilt 579 epiq (ex Walmart fleet truck ) I drove it from the lot to the office about 10 miles no problems other then a bad axle seal. I've been camped out at the office a couple days doing paperwork and waiting for my trailer. In this time it has not rained at all had a lil bit of snow. But last night moved it to a different lot and water. Poured out were the cb would be mounted probly 1/2 -1 cups worth didn't drench me but was enough to concern me. It would come out on turns and acceleration. I had pulled the panel off to get a look at were cb would mount so I dunno if wTer was there all along n removing the panel let it run out? Any have problems with condensation building up? The first day I couldn't figure out the apu/bunk heater and it won't let you idle the truck so there was frost on the inside of windshield

Get hose, spray it on where the matker lights are, look on inside to see if thats the spot

Don’t know about the Pete, but my western star is insulated so well and sealed tight I get condensation that comes out from time to time If I don’t leave a top window open in sleeper. Especially since I very rarely use my bunk heater unless it’s below zero. So my breath creates lots of condensation.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. When it goes in for the axle seal they gonna wash it up for me so we'll see if anything gets damp in there. Though the market lights are in the visor not cab. If it's leaking I'll be asking for a diff truck. I've chased roof leaks In campers and rvs. Once they start leaking your fighting a loosing battle.

The 579 has a urethane set windshield. 95 percent of the water leaks I diag from up top are from a shotty windshield install.

    baha Thanks this.
