Hello,
I have a 2015 kw t680 paccar mx 13. I have SCR system issues, Engine stop, max derate. and can't do forced regen. I tried to clear codes but will come back when turning off the truck and try to start it again. I replaced the dosser valve and outlet nox sensor and the codes did not go away. I checked SCR inlet sensor where the DPF tank and it does not appear corroded or damaged wires. I am not sure what to do from here.

You have multiple active aftertreatment faults active, most all with aftertreatment sensor and communication codes. You are most certainly dealing with an electrical/wiring issue. Start with batteries and connections- From there check all fuses for being installed in the correct location or opens. Then the issue moves to chassis related wiring and loss of power or ground to the related sensors and components. Wiring schematics and skilled electrical ability will be needed to get to the bottom of your issues.
Trucknvd and spsauerland Thank this. -
Batteries and connection from there are fine. I didn't notice any corrosion or damaged cables but I did have an issue about a month ago where the dash lights would flicker randomly where it went on and off like it's resetting when you turn on the truck while driving, It happened for few seconds and come back after few minutes of driving it only happened one day but then it went away since.
I never touched the fuses since I bought the the truck last year so I highly doubt anything is out of place unless it blown one but I'll recheck all fuses. Good point though
Where can I get the wiring diagrams? As far as skilled electrician, good luck finding one. 4 mechanics doesn't wanna work on it and instead recommended to delete DEF and dealer is not able to work on it until end of march so I'm on my own. -
Could be the NH3 sensor, it is removed out from calibration but still can cause A-can communication faults.
QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
I also noticed that the def is at full and been driving the truck for 3 days. Not sure if that helps narrowing the issue -
Wow, that's a bunch of faults all logging simultaneously. Definitely check power and ground to the ACM. From there, I'd look for any major wiring faults. If none found, I'd throw a test ACM on it for a quick diagnosis.
Sound like it's attempting a self check at key on, and immediately fails it. -
Don’t replace the NH3 module or sensor probe. The part is obsolete and programming updates have deleted the sensor from being used for DEF dosing. @spsauerland is indicating that the part may be internally shorted causing communication faults on the datalink for the after treatment. If your engine software is up to date , just unplug the component to see if your faults go away.

Unplug the harness from the NH3 sensor module/ box.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
Yes, thank you @Goodysnap . Unplug it, clear your codes and refresh it to see if is causing your issues. You will use very little DEF when you have an SCR fault because engine will rely more on EGR mode to reduce NOX because of the DCR related faults. Sorry didn't explain better, I type slow so don't leave the most detailed responses at times.
Goodysnap Thanks this.
