We had a 1940-41 Dodge like that. When I was still to young to do any milking, I crawled up in it and pretended to drive it.
Flathead 6 cylinder, With a 4 speed transmission. The actual shifter came up under the seat just a couple inches. There was a linkage rod that ran from there forward to the dummy shifter by the dash….. -
One thing I do know. Chrysler in the 60-70's. Made alot of products. Refrigerators, AC units, Boats, cars, pickups, medium duty trucks, over the road trucks, military equipment. Im most likely not evern scratching the depths.

Gm Fridgidare. Big chrome GM emblem on front. Best looking refrigerator I've ever seen. Thought I had a working one. Supervisor knew I spoke for it. He put it in steel hopper anyhow.
