Man oh man…. You’re right on my friend!! :) Mostly that pattern was found in the GM line of trucks I drove back then, and the 2 I own today. The international I drove then, and the one I own now (1987) have a different shift pattern. You would think they shared the same transmission, but there is a little difference there….

    Oxbow Thanks this.

This 89 model I bought when EZ closed up only has 71,000 miles in it. Still shifts smooth as running your fingers through water. It to uses that odd pattern @Oxbow …. 73C2EA8E-6A05-45B0-AEA3-491C0D7EB77F.jpeg

And the only medium duty I’ve driven with a factory air seat…

Will a standard tower go on an RTLO? Think about the bragging rights if you had an 18 with the big hole against the dash. You could start a trend with the Billy bigriggers!

That's actually kind of sad. So few seem to have any sort of mechanical aptitude to be able figure it out.

Had to drive a 3 stick Mack once out of the shop across the lot and park it.

No shift pattern. I struggle to say the least. Couldn't imagine trying to go down the road with it.

Oxbow, OLDSKOOLERnWV and okiedokie Thank this.

Most of the drivers on that job were about my kids age. But a couple of them wanted to learn so I spent some time in the plot with them. Ya know they did alright once they understood the shift pattern progression. I told them this is a feather in your cap. If the day ever comes when you see a dinosaur like this again.

    Oxbow and Hammer166 Thank this.
