Are you sure that the TMC truck is an 1850 torque setting? I find that hard to believe... Anyway, that being said, I hated my ACERT when I got it. After finding this forum and searching and reading a thousand posts and making the suggested inexpensive mods I now would not hesitate to buy another one. I have an 05 379 with 13 and 3:36's which is as someone said the correct ratio for economical cruising. I started out with a pig that got 4.6 MPG and for less than a thousand dollars I now have around 600HP and 1950 torque that gets about 6.4 - 6.5 MPG - driven correctly. Now I will start working on the aerodynamic problems and hope to see 7 MPG. Actually I probably could now if I were willing to run 55MPH but my avg speed is about 63 - 64. I say go with the TMC truck with the MXS which is even better than my BXS. Those monkeys can't tear up much with the 1650 torque setting that I think they have.
