Well, this is my last night at the house. Catching a ride on the ol grey dog tomorrow heading to Tulsa. Any last night FYI or heads up before orientation? I must say I am looking forward to this. Having a problem with packing just the bare essentials for trucking to take with me. My fridge, tv and microwave don't seem to wanna fit lol I think I need a bigger suitcase lol or I could leave out a couple pairs of boxers lol

Watch your diet on Sunday night. Stay away from the typical junk food diet, and go with the grilled chicken salad type stuff. Also, drink water, and plenty of it on Sunday night. They are ing to drug test you first thing in the morning on Monday. I am not saying you are on drugs, by any means, it is simply that they will also be checking for too much sugar, or blood in the urine at the same time. IF you were to drink soda the night before, it might come back with some blood indication in the urine. So, just stay well hydrated. Get rest as well so your blood pressure isn't high. Don't be late for the shuttle bus, and tell Javada just exactly what you think of her!

You will do great. Welcome aboard!

I traded in my International 9900 in November and picked up a Prostar., just curious as to what kind of mpg is ever one getting. I now have 30,000+ miles on it and average is only about 6.1 at 62mph. Plus I have already had to have the charge air cooler and the turbo replaced.

Does JCT ask operators to TRADE-UP to a new truck. Or,do you guys have to request a new truck? How does it work?
I enjoy this thread. I hope this question has not already been asked.

Well, here I am. I finally made it to Tulsa. It was a loooong boring ride on the ol grey dog from Memphis. Got checked in to a room here at the Days Inn at about 1:15am. Looking forward to orientation Monday. Does anyone know if there is a Walmart within walking distance of the motel?

Jarbo - Who is Javada? And what kind of things are offensive to her? lol

herkyboy - I appreciate that about the diet. As for the drug test, no problems on this end. I've heard about the DOT changing policies about blood pressure. JCT even has a memo in this packet about the bp can not be over 138/89. You can just call me "waterboy" until Monday lol

truckinkat - I appreciate the heads up about the guy getting jumped and wallet taken here at the Days Inn. If someone takes my wallet they are just going to get a bunch of IOU's and dust bunnies lol

The break in on a new truck is around 50k to 75k and you will see an improvement.
