    I agree I have 1 in a pickup I bought a year ago.... what a PITA.. If the previous hadn't hacked up the air box I would go back to a OEM.. still might go to a bone yard and get a air box and switch back .. I would never buy them for my big trucks

    Instead of a fancy K&N or others, I just put in a Really Big Honkin Air Filter in my 1997 Dodge Cummins.

    Works very good at filtering and lasted far longer than the tiny square stock paper filter they came with.
