Statistically speaking. Truck Driver always makes the top 10-15 deadliest jobs on studies, whereas LE don't even make the list half the time. Fatality rates are something like 26/100,000 truck driver vs 14/100,000 LE.

Some of the trucking is dangerous hype comes from some of the stats. People die in crashes with big trucks, it'snot the driver but the idiot 4-wheeler looking to see who Kim Kardashian is dating tomorrow. Truck drivers get killed in accidents when they leave the roadway and strike objects like trees, bridges, buildings, etc. If they stay on the roadway it usually requires hitting another truck to cause a driver fatality. On top of everything else, I suspect more drivers die of cardiac events and strokes than at-fault crashes.
