Ok....one on the left of shifter is for splitting. One in the front is going from your lower gears to your higher gears. So basically with the reverse what you are saying is if you are in L REVERSE and want to go H REVERSE, you can't just split it while in REVERSE, you need to put it in neutral, split it, and then put it back in reverse? I think I'm understanding it. Same thing with lower to higher gears. When I was in school and coming to a light, obviously I'd be downshifting but if the traffic was already moving and I needed a higher gear like 5, I had to take it out of gear and flip that fron button up otherwise I'd rev my RPM's too high not realizing I was still in the lower gears LOL
