Do all fuel cards have an annual fee and/or monthly fees?

I work for a small fleet with 14 trucks, 11 box trucks and 3 tractors. We have a 2000 gallon bulk tank at the yard that's filled 2x week, but we only have company credit cards to buy fuel on the road.

I would guesstimate that we buy 10,000 to 20,000 gallons per year on the road.
Buying fuel at truck stops is already eye popping expensive, but then they add the additional credit card fee and I can't believe no one at my company has suggested fuel cards before.

Trying to move up the ladder so I was hoping to get suggestions on which fuel cards would save us money without overly complicating things for our accountants.

I only pay $400 a year and I don't go to the meetings. My monthly card fee is $4.25

It is. But still the best deal i found. Now when you become a member you have the choice of attending the meeting or signing up for their pos safety program which is 32 a month. Program is a turd. Basically get a safer web screen shot and cd of people rambling about nothing for an hour. My wife just trashes em as soon as they arrive in the mail.

I had NASTC for a year
Got it last year and only had a one time fee. No monthly fee
Also, should be common knowledge but
Don’t always look at your discount price but the per gallon one instead
Some places the discount might be less than another one in the same area but the adjusted price would might be lower

I would call Nastc and see if they can get you a better deal.

I called them today, nothing has changed. 32 a month or go to the meeting. 32 a month is way cheaper than the lost revenue of sitting in a meeting all weekend.

Call and ask them how their system works but call as a new customer
I know I never paid them anything more than the yearly thing and a ring at the pump thing

I switched companies in June of last year and haven’t seen any bill since and I canceled my account when it came up for renewal this year
