Always a good time to take a vacation. Changes your whole outlook. Too much stress and constantly running isn’t worth it. Ever. Any Job that requires all your time and energy, isn’t worth having.

I ran as normal all thru covid, full US/Canada up to August last year, then CAT busted all the owner ops out, so I moved the truck over here. Haven't been really happy here all winter, so time to make a change.
The wife on the other hand was last one standing at her work. Shes asst. Comptroller at a big hotel, they let everyone go and just kept her and the comptroller. She hasnt had any vacation or been outside of the province in 2 years. She needs a break. So, a beach it is.
Fly to Dominican, or drive to florida is the decision? Have a friends place to stay at in Florida, or a resort? Decision today..
I'm 2 hrs from my last pick up this am. It's ready tomorrow afternoon, and a huge blizzard is headed in so my phone says... good times!Rideandrepair, ProfessionalNoticer, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
I would go to one of the beaches either in the panhandle of Florida or the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Less traffic to get to those.Rideandrepair and Elroythekid Thank this.

Driving to Florida doesn't sound like a vacation since you're still driving. When I'm on a break I don't even want to look at a steering wheel.SL3406, Badmon, Keepforgettingmypassword and 2 others Thank this.

My niece just booked a rd trip flight from Detroit to somewhere in Fl. for around $100. Wish I had more details. Could maybe find out. One way Rental cars are sometimes real cheap, sometimes real expensive.Depending on where they need cars. Might be cheaper to fly, with$5.00 gal gas.
Elroythekid and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
I will be. Think I might go out Mon/Tues for a few last miles and then drop my truck off at the shop for some overdue PM. Not sure if I'll be back before April. It doesn't have much to do with fuel prices, mostly just that feeling of burnout and negative vibes everywhere mostly because of it. I haven't taken any time off since Christmas.Keepforgettingmypassword and Elroythekid Thank this.
