Just don't ask her where she put it....
I'm still trying to figure out if it is one of those cash register printers with the sharp metal edges or not.

Alright, back to work. Redd .. put some pants on and cover up that thong. W900, what's that smell, kinda like dog do-do? Check your shoes, and the little woman's too.
Pony, well just keep on doin' what your doin'.
Now ... how often do any of you need pipe stakes? I've heard various opinions but figure the answer from Mercer drivers was more relevant than from other companies. And where do you get them from? Local shop doesn't have them and I haven't noticed them in any of the online places yet. We have two pipe plants here, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry's metal pipe plant and their plastic division. If these are needed to load at places we go it would be good to know ahead of time! -
soo how is everyone doing??
-
Texas is really the only place you will need pipe stakes with us. Houston market mainly. A lot of pipe loads that you will not be offered or dispatched on unless Mercer has it in the computer that you have stakes.
Do I have stakes? Yes.
Have I been dispatched on loads that require stakes before dispatch? Yes.
Have I used pipe stakes? No
I bought mine in Houston at a pipe yard. I'll jump out & take a pic of them if you'd like. I know you have the resources to make your own if needed.roshea Thanks this. -
I used to haul a lot of loads out of charlotte pipe when I was with maverick. I never used pipe stakes on those loads. If you go into TX with mercer most of the pipe loads out of there require pipe stakes. You can buy them for about 50 bucks is what mercer told me. You can go to lowes and buy pipe and flare the ends with a vice or sledge for about half the price.
roshea Thanks this. -
That would be great anytime it's convenient. I thought it was interesting they were not on the equipment list so they couldn't be needed all that often.
After all those years of tankin' it's nice to be learning something new. Then again it sucks being the new guy at the same time
-
thanks notarps ...
apparently not much of an issue, and my local market is more important to me. Houston area had it's own rules for a lot of tank work too, that were different than the rest of the country. A small investment in the right gear ensured I always got reloaded down there while others came back mt or had to d/h someplace else. -
Cover page of this years Mercer Swimsuit edition?
Look out Sports Illustrated ....
Redd ... we can't make you rich and famous, but we'll make you famous!

You are welcome. TX is not a very good area for them. I usually put myself on the houston board. Wasn't always the greatest pay, but got me out of that neck of the woods. I kicked off in corpus one time and was 2 days before I loaded out of houston. Sometimes I would just get mad and bounce out, but I tried to get a short paid hop to get me in a better area.
