Not sure. But it's a lot of truck drivers that get robbed in wolf point at the truck stop there.. I delivered to the Montana road dept there. And those natives would look at me like I killed their mother

Very nice ! It's cool to see that older equipment that those guys used to use and work on.. Gives me an appreciation for what we have now

I also notice that back in those days all the men wore suit and ties . Didn't matter if you were a businessman or a mechanic or a farmer . They all dressed with class and dignity.

He and his brother started this business in hopes of passing it down. When the time came none of the males wanted the business. I would of loved to have it, but that was forbidden.
It wasn't until years later that he realized just how competent I am and apologized for this error in judgment.
It was difficult to be a younger male and live up to expectations with grandfathers generation, you didn't have a chance as a female.
Loved him anyway. -
There was nothing her could not fix. He had to, he was miles from any mechanic and then drill rig did not tow well at all. Run to town and get parts, yes. Stop drilling with a crew standing around? No!
He was the one that instilled my love of all things mechanical. Tough task master, but I wanted to learn, so they first thing I learned was to not cry cause grandfather had hurt my feelings.Isafarmboy, cke, dwells40 and 5 others Thank this. -
That sounds like my great grandpa . He was a mechanic in the mine . My uncle still has a lot of his tools. One of a kind stuff. A lot of his specialty tools were all made by the local blacksmith in town. even a lot of the wrenches and basic tools have incredible craftsmanship. Some of them probably almost 100 years old

Either wind or ice from the night before.
Wind advisory north and west of Cheyenne so I'm parked with my lightweight load. No sense becoming a statistic.. -
I was wrong

There are lot of small towns to wander through on US2 and the roads might be a lot more icy this time of year.
I would run I90 to I94 to Glendive MT take 16 north to Sidney then 200 to Fairview then 58 to Buford and 1804 to US2 into Williston.Last edited: Mar 12, 2022
