I don’t think you have to worry about combustion yet, but I get checking it.

    how many hour/miles?

Noticed this morning my coolant level was below the MIN line. Added some then went to put the cap on and it just spins. Luckily I kept the cap from my old reservoir.

Tomorrow I'm going back to Peterbilt and buying the OEM tank. Just got a bad feeling with this TRP tank.

OEM tank comes with new caps- both of them and new sensor.
I hope you get your money back.

This is bad to say- but we have a saying of- (T)emporary (R)epair (P)arts. Some stuff is OK, I guess other things, not so much........

Got the new OEM installed today. $409 from The Larson Group Peterbilt versus $490 from Rush Peterbilt.

The 3 differences I noticed between the two is, The bolt holes line up perfectly with OEM, the plastic is clear versus milky color with TRP, and the cap threads are a lot better on the OEM...

Now I just hope that the coolant stays out of the left side, will be driving tomorrow so I shall see.

Still going good sir ? I notice I am getting some coolant on the left of my tank . Little by little. Wonder if my air compressor is putting pressure in the system

Yes sir. Forgot to update this thread... Pretty sure the TRP tank was defective, glad I changed it to OEM.

That stinks, you just got back to work. Seems it's always something man. Hopefully one of the expert mechanics will tune in here again and help you out...

Wonder how long air compressors typically last? How many miles you have on that truck now?

613k so it's right at the mileage where it time to start replacing the bigger stuff. Original compressor it looks like. Guess I'm just hoping it's the compressor and not combustion putting the coolant over there

I hope for you it's just the compressor too.

You gonna try one of those combustion testers from Harbor freight that I posted above?

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Might as well. Couldn't hurt . Did you ever use it ? I'm gonna pick one up when I get back to the house
