    At least! You are never going to get top rate if you are pulling someone else's trailer. Think about your fuel cost for the 3000 miles that you mentioned that you would run, and the mileage pay they were offering?

    So owner operator definitely no. Maybe in the future. I applied for a bunch of company jobs. Will see what they offer and say. Thanks

    I decided to take a job with Fundamental Labor Strategies. Small company, It's a 1099, basically doing shuttles to ports and piers. Hook and drop, No money out of my pocket. I have my own medical so benefits not a big deal, i have to pay my own taxes but could wright a lot off. I respect everyone's opion about the owner operator, if didn't listen i would be a fool. So if i decide to ever go that route i will own my own truck out right, no leasing. Thanks for the help and will let you guys know how it goes.
