‘87 379EXHD, dump truck. Ok, as said, it’s a dump truck but I want something that decently nice. Rubber or hardwood is probably the ticket and I’m leaning more towards the rubber. I plan on stripping all the bits of existing flooring out and it had the rubber over foam, which I like. What do y’all recommend and where do I get it?

Hardwood would be a waste of money and not last for the type of work you do. They make an aluminum floor which would hold up better, and you could have it painted the color of your choice. 12 Guage Customs has aluminum floors.mile marker 27 Thanks this.

I went to tractor supply and bought a horse trailer rubber mat for a truck I flipped. Turned out real snazzy and still lols good a year later. 10 times warmer that the hardwood that’s in mine

Mines worn through between the seat and pedals. The left side of the gear shift cover is exposed and drafty there too.

I agree with the guys above, you probably want rubber. Especially in a dump. That said, if you decide to do wood... don't use wood. Lowes, home repo, and all of them have plastic flooring that looks like wood. I have it on my house. Is tough as hell, looks good but pricey. However I ran the cost on doing my pete with it and it was only going to be about $50. Also buy auto insulation to put down before you put anything down. Make a lot of difference. I bought 80mmNoico... it's decent. You can buy better... you'll pay more. I probably should have gone with a higher brand but I'm putting insulated carpet back down

@wore out Did you have sound proofing/insulation from the old carpet/flooring or how did you soundproof/insulate under the mat? A picture would be nice if possible.

My original foam mat was in pristine condition. So I left it as is after a good cleaning
