I would not worry about it. Your biggest worry, about that 10 meter radio, is the radio police here on this board and on other boards. If you are minding your Ps and Qs on the air then no one is going to come searching for you except maybe some selfappointed radio cop with a power meter in his car and driving around looking for people that are putting out more power then 4 watts on 11 meters. Only thing is that they will never find you unless your are stationary or they are on the same highway as you are and going the same direction.
Just hook it up and get to work.

The FCC does not care what you do outside of the ham bands and 99.999% of hams like myself don't care either. The fact is I'm not licensed for 27.555 MHZ so why would I tell you or anyone else not to go there ?
As for a license for a export radio that would allow you to run it on 28.300 - 28.500 MHZ but have nothing to do with what you do on CB ...... -

I neeeeeed to get my display lights on my 29 ltd changes to red the blue is killin me is there anywhere across northern OH or IN I can get this done i just move into a T600 with a dash mount and I cant take it anymore!!!

Glad someone likes him, personally he's a rip off. Early part of '09 when I was having all kinds of problems with my antenna on my Mack, he said "the only way you'll ever get a good signal is to bypass the factory mounts, use clamp mounts on the mirror brackets, the run ground straps to the door and then to the cab, we can zip tie the ground straps so they don't move" Um, yeah, noting like jerry riggin' something to look crappy on a brand new truck
In Denver, the best shop is SBS Electronics on 44th. You need to call ahead ot make an appt., it's bobtail access only and he'll give you directions. The problem mentioned above, cost me $100 to have fixed by these guys. The took the mirrors and cab overhead apart, cleaned up the factory mounts, replaced several pieces of coax, peaked and tuned my radio as well. Up until the day the truck was broken into, the CB worked perfect. Will, the shop owner has been in the CB business since they came out, the shop also does custom stereo installs on passenger cars, semi's, and RV's. -
Uh........they DO care what you do on ANY band. With CB in the US, one is to obey Part 95, US Code using the 40 channels allocated with 4 watt output, and equipment that is certified for that use. There are NO extra channels, NO so-called "10 Meter" radios that are allowed to be used on CB, But we know that, don't we!

The fight for 25.000 to 27.999 is not a HAM RADIO FIGHT ....
The fight for HAM'S is the fact almost ALL EXPORTS wind up on the 10 meter band ..... 28.085 and 28.535 mhz being the most common.
The problem is many just think the EXTRA channles are there for them to USE and they will tell you so even well into the 10 meter band. This is where the hams have been turning them into the FCC ......
If tomorrow morning every EXPORT was disabled outside 25-27.999 mhz my guess is no hams would ever give a thought about them again.
AND ......
As long as the FCC is not going after the sellers and we both know who they are nothing will change BUST THEM and sezze the radios and the word will get out. -

Well lets see that would be the one who makes shure your radio meets FCC rules.
And because that never happened they simply stoped requireing a FCC license to work on radios and no one but the FCC can regulate radio repair.
Sounds to me like the guy with the light looking for the honest man ..... -
if you stay off the 10 meter youll be fine its when your on the extra channels that will get you in trouble ive been running export radios with amps for years I just stay off the 10 meter band
