There is no yard close to were I lived, so yes I took truck and trailer home with me. I had a place to park the trailer when on home time, and parked the tractor in driveway.
Millis has a big yard in Cartersville, GA and one in Albany, GA.

For a new student going to the Millis school, they must show up with a valid DOT card. You can get the physical at most clinics for around $100. After the first card expires you will go to a clinic that Millis has a contract with.

watch out MILLIS here comes the MCEHEEL & I aint taking no prisoners. I can smell the GREASE & RUBBER I can see the highway through my window and I'm as good as gone. DON'T no one try to tell me it ain't what it is, it is MAN & MACHINE becoming ONE & that horsepower running through my veins calling me like a midnite lullaby. TRUCKING is alive & well because it has built this AMERICAN DREAM to what it is today and it ain't going to DIE as long as I can hammer them gears. "LONG LIVE THE ANERICAN DREAM" here I come MILLIS TRANSFER... Everyone that agrees give me a big 'ol HELL YEAH.

Thanks for that info Markk9. I will most likely use that yard in Cartersville since
its about a 20 mile+ ride from where I reside. Have another question. Doesn't
really say on web site unless I missed it. But is Millis all 48 states plus Canada.
Should I get a passport just in case the oppurtunity presents itself? I also have
pre-registered for TWIC but may not set appointment to start process as I wanted
to see what offer I was going to jump on. -
Millis runs mostly east of Mississippi river, some time they go to Texas, and California. California runs are where on a couple a year.
When I drove for them, they didn't pull any Haz-Mat, or go to Canada.

Millis hauls a lot of glass bottles for breweries . Hold off on the passport . You may not need it and if you do they'll probably reimburse you for it if they need you to have .
I always figured Millis was a good company . I can't understand the turnover they have that requires them to be constantly hiring . -
you wont need your passport or twic card as we dont go into ports and dont haul hazmat. millis is hiring quite a few right now since they are expanding there fleet by a few trucks not a whole lot but some.

Millis is one fleet that SafeStat history shows to have increased their fleet . However it also shows their driver safety rating getting worse resulting in an INSPECT ISS-D rating . Maybe the drivers that left leaving openings got tired of being checked out at scales .

spanky, quick question... Does millis run I-64, I-57 through IL alot? I am right off of both of those intersates. Was just wondering what home time might be like. Thanks!

When I drove for Millis in the past, they had a very easy log book policy. All I ever had to do was match fuel stops, dot stops, and paper toll receipts. Millis had pre-pass and ez-pass, they never checked them against the logbooks. They would let you run as hard as you wanted for the most part.
