Never been to an indoor event. Is it pretty intense? Pretty loud? Feel it in your chest?

Look for definitions. You'll find a lot in the Code of Federal Regulations, that although they are in there specifically for the applicable department that it's written for, the definition closely holds to the English Common Law definition and understanding of the Use of Deadly Force, and it's application. In all instances, even in the states that you wouldn't think so, there is the one common link. When used, it can be for:

    1.) Self-defense
2.) Defense of others (usually it says persons, but the meaning is, other than yourself)

That is what any research you do will reveal to you. Now that's not to say that all the other options of avoidance shouldn't be employed, if possible, however any escalation by a perpetrator can and usually does accelerate the need to make that decision, but again, it's based on the belief of serious bodily injury and/or death of one's self or others is unavoidable at the time and the use is justifiable. That doesn't mean you won't be detained, and have to go through the legal process, but the alternative is you or someone else is badly injured and/or dead.

I like the outdoor pulls so I can watch all the smoke go up into the air and wonder if there’s any tree huggers in the crowd just completely pissed.
