    What’s the best dash cam and multi cam set up, also that has the functionality to communicate with your smart phone would be a definite plus. Input would definitely be appreciated.

    The Garmin dash cams have a smartphone app and when you are parked the cams can be accessed by wifi. I have used a Garmin 45.If you want it to record while you are parked you need to by the $40 cable. You only need the extra cable to use it as a parked "who just backed into me cam."

    I just bought the Garmin 57 I think I haven't even set it up yet.

    Do I need to buy a cable to record while I'm parked?
