Shooter, almost everyone of those articles you post, with the exception of communist MD (even it alludes to possibly) understand the use of deadly force to defend one's self and others. The use of deadly force and the escalation requirements should be understood by anyone that carries, and with the reference to MD, it's not a carry friendly state to begin with and it's certainly not on my reciprocity list, so anyone there can fend for themself since I don't know anyone there worth defending. :)

That aside, and even in MD, if you have a carry permit there, the recognition of self-defense and defense of others is recognized, even if you have extra needle threading interpretation there, it all still recognizes the same requirements that any justifiable shooting does, which is why it requires knowledge, training and understanding of the requirements for the use of deadly force, which is what using gun entails. YOU might not employ your weapon to defend someone other than your own family and friends, and that is your call. You can't be anyone else's conscience with this regard as no else can be yours, but you can't claim a legal inability when every discussion or reference does in fact allow it under the same conditions that would justify self-defense. Just sayin. :)

Many years ago, on I70 in IN, I watched one in a construction zone starting to lift his bucket as he was rolling, maybe 10mph, along an embankment that was probably 15° or so. I remember thinking to myself 'this is not gonna end well'. Sure enough, that bucket was about halfway up its lift and over he went.

Since we're in show and tell mode. :) The one behind was my wife's. Her knees stopped her from riding a few years back, the one in front is my pride and joy, 2005 Heritage Softail Classic Vance and Hines Pipes and everything is removable, windshield, bags, and tour pack. Makes it easier to clean it. :) That single rider tour pack mount is a great back support. :)

I'm not really disagreeing with you. Problem is, if you get charged, your going to have to defend yourself in a court of law. That is a fact. The outcome of that case is going to land on the jury. Do you trust your life to some random folks? I don't. I hate to use this example....however. look at the Kyle Rittenhouse debacle. He was clearly defending himself. He actually retreated. Then he was pursued and shot. He was still brought up on charges and spent time in jail. I choose to avoid that. Not saying it's right, wrong or otherwise. Just my personal view. You gotta do what you think is right. It makes no difference to me either way.....thats your choice.

One difference is KR went lookin for trouble, he found it. Another problem is courts aren't seeking the truth anymore, and juries act on emotions, not law...

    Agreed.
Which is why it's better to just mind your own business from the start and avoid such situations. IMO

Boise has an airport . Heck, one of us can take you down.

Edit: in fact, I have to go down when I get home to pick up my new trailer. So I can take you.
