Well, this has been a fun trip folks, and since we've narrowed down finding the gent something to work on, I think it's time for me to crash. Night.

Well that could be a slight issue, need a trimmed down version, made of polished stainless of course.CAXPT Thanks this.

How terrible would it be to use the trailer deck side of the step and mount chain hangars and a tray losing you maybe 8" of deck
(Rotate right 90 degrees)
CAXPT Thanks this. -
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one from a manufacturer made to fit up in there, but I’ve seen lots of people build them. Anything from open chain racks with a mud flaps hung in front to full cabinets. I would think a fab shop would have you flanged up with whatever you wanted pretty quick.

The trailer in my avatar had the boxes like you're looking for.
The trailer (Reitnourer) was custom ordered by the previous owner and iirc the boxes were made by ProTech specifically for this trailer.
I have to admit, having the chains right there was ultra convenient.

I think I would go talk to my welder and have him make on for me.CAXPT Thanks this.

Got the pics from the trailer itself....
CAXPT and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -
That looks to be about exactly what I'm looking for.

I am thinking it is made by the truss trailer manufacturer to have a place for the pump and battery.
I never thought that would be a good storage spot until you posted looking for a box to be mounted there.
That trailer is getting old but that box is original to that from when it was made.
I don’t see a problem with tire spray or anything affecting the contents if built right.
