    Well guys it's a done deal, I passed today and got my CDL.:biggrin_25514: I only missed 3 points on the pretrip and missed 0 on the backing and I missed 3 points on the driving test.
    I and a buddy from school are going to May on Monday to start orioitation and hope to be on the road soon.
    I will let you guys know how it goes for me and good luck to you liteguy it seems like school is going to take forever but the next thing you know your in that cab testing out.

    Congratulations and Hooray WellGolf!! Soon school will be a distant memory or so I am told. I don't know if teaming is in your and your buddy's minds but it could be an option after you both qualify to go solo. Being from the same neck of the woods it usually means more miles and home time for the both you, but then again I'm not speaking from experience.

    Anyway, I'll remain excited with you about getting your CDL. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that May hires you.

    No teaming for me, I don't want to share a space the size of a closet with anybody. I will take my wife for a trip or two, but 3-5 weeks with another guy just is not my cup of tea.
    I will keep you guys updated along the way and good luck to you all.

    Good luck at may, they dont beleive in apu's, and they only allow 30% idle time, if you need they say you notify them of needing more idle time they will work with you, have fun with may taking money out of your check for idle time fuel., just saying is all.

    Also at May, watch your pay stubs like a hawk! It doesn't matter if the financial oversight on their part is intentional or not. If you don't catch it, its money in their bottom line. Make copies of everything and keep those copies until you are paid and keep accurate tax records as well. Scan originals to a jump drive if you are able.

    Thanks for the advice Butter, I did do my resreach and knew about the apu deal beforehand. I would like to find a better job but for the time being I will have to play the game. I have a scanner that I plan to put to good use and my wife is a hawk when it comes to money. I know I'm fresh meat and will need to watch my back, but I hope to get some time in and move on when the opportunity presents it self.

    Wellgolf, if you happen to get to the trailer shop in payette for anything, ask for Wally, hes a pretty good guy, watch out for Pug Millman he is over the main shop, he can be a nice guy or he can be a jerk, depends on the day and his mood. Donny is in the body shop if you need anything there. Donny is a good guy, i like to give him a bad time or pull a fast one on him if i can. Ive known all 3 of those guys for a number of years.
