Maybe there should be a cap on how much of the load you can pocket?

 

Cool, got it done and she came while I was doing it and saw me working...talk about serendipitious timing. Now she knows I don't sit on my butt ALL day.

Since she doesn't read this forum, I'm safe from her knowing the truth. Shhhh...

 

Like I said, you can teach them to drive and how to respond, but you can't give them a backbone. As long as they are apprised of the changing conditions and reasons, they had no reason to challenge you and if they did, I simply asked, are you trying to coerce me to drive in conditions I don't feel comfortable? That was rarely a problem with me, except maybe two times, and I didn't give them a 3rd time to strike out. The problem is not informing them about the situation. They don't know what to tell the customer about the delay, if you don't. I wasn't obtuse unless I needed to be.

I am the captain of that ship. If they want to drive it, get their butts out of that comfy chair, get a ride here and take it over. Like I said, I rarely needed to be a jerk like that, but I was when I needed to be.
