    I am wondering if someone could throw me some numbers of any and all overhead costs associated with moving from company driver to my own authority, for the sake of variables, just forget the truck/trailer, but anything else thats involved. And i was also wondering for those of you who have there own authoritys or are there own brokers, how much of a business or accounting background do you have?

    Insurance, $8000 annual (depends entirely on your age, truck age etc. and limits.)
    IFTA is free or very minimal.

    Having this done for you by a 3rd party adds to the expense.
