As an O/O, I have never had a company offer me a job and not send me a copy of the contract with that offer.

If I company doesn't offer a contract viewing before asking you to sign it, I wouldn't trust them. I also would not trust a company who only has you fill out an "pre-application" and doesn't check out you out completely before bringing you in.

It seems that I hear way to often that people were rejected in orientation because of something in their DAC, background check, or driving record.... Things that should have been checked before they were brought in.

A failed drug test is one thing, but just bringing in bodies without offering them a way home if they get rejected for things that should have been checked out ahead of time is wrong.

Especially for an O/O who might be bobtailing 1500 miles with no plate to go to orientation. That can be a costly...

We had a recruiter come out to our class from Werner yesterday, and during his presentation, he said that they do not have contracts if we came to work with them. Are these contracts yoru talking about used to protect them if they pay for your schooling, and its a loan? Just curious, I know NO recruiter would lie or try to pull the wool over our eyes now would they? lol

They may have to be looking even lower to find people willing to work for them, which may mean we are doing a good job of educating people.

Find a small GIPPO company that operates in the gray area instead of these giant truk companies. They will run the pants off ya and you will make more money!!!

Werner sent me a postcard in the mail today trying to get me to come to work for them. It said "we get over 60% of our drivers home nightly or weekly" Sounds like a load of (you know what) to me....

As much bad things as I hear about Werner, it's a surprise anyone will work for them.

I know what that means. Somebody in Florida gets home one night or weekend. A driver in Oregon gets home the next night or weekend. They didn't say it's the same drivers that get home nightly or weekly.

    Don't be fooled.
