This morning I had to slide my tandems and everything went as it should. However later in the day I needed to slide them back and the brakes didn’t hold all the wheels just rolled. I checked the brake pads and all of them are in proper adjustment. Any ideas?

Weak brake chambers

Even if service brakes are working? when I use the trailer brakes they hold just fine. The emergency/parking seems to be the problem, brake chamber?

Spring brakes apply roughly the same force as a 60psi service application. It's quite possible everything is fine with the brakes and the slide on that trailer needs the extra force of a service application.
