Never done any reviews or anything like that before, so yall bare with me. Started driving in '05. This is my 3rd company in 17 years, so I don't consider myself a job hopper. Landed at Woodfield a couple months ago, and I'm impressed so far. I'll try to keep things as straight as I can. Woodfield Inc is based in Camden, AR. It's a smaller company with somewhere around 130 trucks. Mostly auto, but there are some 13 speeds floating around. I'm in the 2nd oldest truck in the fleet and it is an '18. Freightliner, with a couple of Internationals. Some pros I've noticed.....very consistent miles. I average 2800 miles a week. Pay is somewhere in neighborhood of .60 cpm, and is practical miles. They do pay based on experience, but the owner also has a lot of interest in your tenure at other companies. Small company feel (no driver numbers.) Mr. Jimmy (owner) is very approachable, as is the other office staff. Very open-door policy. Trucks are almost O/O spec (full gauge package, heated/cooled seats, wrap-around storage shelf in place of top bunks, ect.) Truck is governed at 65 pedal/70 cruise (I'm not at all a fan of split speeds, so that's kind of a con for me.) Forward-facing only cameras (they don't even have a lense on the back of the camera.) Most of the loads are really good, and scheduled on an out and back format, so no getting hung up in the northeast. We do run PA and upstate NY. I think they run the city but they don't force it, and I'm sure it pays extra. Now on to some things I ain't crazy about.....do download the cat scale app, because 9 out of 10 loads you get are over 40,000. I bet I could count on 1 hand how many I've had that weren't heavy in the 2 months I've been here. They haul a good bit of broker freight, and like any smaller company, they want you to call the broker for appointment times, p/u numbers, ect. They have moderate amount of live loading/unloading, so be prepared. That's about all I got for cons. In conclusion....my experience thus far has been positive, and I don't know why any driver couldn't find a home here. I'm also thinking about doing a weekly vlog on here, detailing some of the regular loads, and some more ins and out. Let me know if yall are interested in that

Forgot to mention these guys have dry van and flatbed divisions. I pull van. Van division has 3 different divisions in it....OTR, regional, and this new thing that I'm doing called regional plus. I haven't ran west of the 35 yet, and am not sure dry box does at all; flatbed maybe. Haven't been north of Richmond on the 95. Haven't been on 95 but once. Normal lane for me is TX, AR, LA to Chicago area, or Cincinnati/Columbus area. Back haul is almost always General Electric in Louisville, KY to GE in Grand Prairie, TX, drop and hook on both ends. Regional plus seems to be OTR minus the Northeast. OTR hometime is pretty much standard 1 week/1 day. Regional and regional can go home every weekend (48 hours), they don't seem to be strict about that all. Pepsi loads out of Mesquite are shorter haul on average (3-400 miles), and I end up with 1 every time I go to Dallas. They're pre-loaded, but live unload which hasn't been a hassle yet. They don't bother me. I've gone a week at a time without talking to anybody. The biggest plus for me has been...in the 3 months I've been here, I have yet to receive a phone call from Safety (which is 1 lady), and I know I've tripped the camera (outward facing only) a few times. The biggest aggravation I have with working here is them monthly videos, and they want them done! Probably helps out with insurance or something. All in all, I like it here. Very relaxed atmosphere

Update...still getting consistent mileage. The planner talked me into a load from Arkansas to Mass. Now, I remember why I hate coming up here lol. Good run tho. Back haul is from Boston to Tulsa, so that's over 3,000 miles in 2 runs. I don't think I'm gonna be jumping to take this load anymore. This is a regular run for them, if that's your thing. Still enjoying it here. @Chinatown, I think it's safe to put Woodfield in your "recommended" list. They don't hire all the time, and from what I hear, there might be a waiting list

I promise, I'll find out their hiring area and all the other details. It's kinda hard, cause I literally never talk to anybody. I might hear from them once a week. They're very laid back. I get the vibe that this is 1 of those places the old hands that ain't quite ready to hang the keys up come to and finish out their career
