I think so. There's a lot of them I've never watched and probably wouldn't know much about what I was seeing anyway. I don't have a TV in my house. The only two that I can relate to from an actual experience level are AxeMen and Deadliest Catch. Some of what you see on both of them is very real...the weather, the terrain, what it takes to just do the job is pretty accurate. The beating the crew takes is shown honestly but sometimes downplayed. I've seen guys get pretty banged up and hide it so they wouldn't get taken to town and lose their job.
The personal drama is way overdone. Greenhorns get harassed a little but never to the extent that the show portrays. At least I've never seen people treated like that. You want to get your rookies dialed in fast and early. That way they can be more productive. Logging or fishing, you're after production and a pissed off defensive newby just slows you down.
It's like trucking...if a boat or a logging outfit can't keep a crew there's usually a pretty good reason.
