Well I HAVE been to the cluster-#$%# of a warehouse they have rented, its just off the Bert Kouns Industrial Loop on Slack Rd. I was there B4 they dropped some temporary scales. Procedure WAS, proceed to Tangos' warehouse, use those scales, drive back up to temp warehouse, unload after LONG WAIT ( i was there 4hrs), then back down to Tango scales for empty weight. 5+hrs overall. Procedure NOW is weigh in at onsite scales then wait on your unload time. The brown paper side filled up so quickly they had to move brown down to white paper side. Many an angry driver, myself included. Move here, no there, wait, who was here first? NOBODY KNOWS!! As far as Tango jumping up to 3000 trucks???Haven't heard a peep. Not saying it's not true, just saying I talk with several long-term drivers, no one has said anything of the sort. If I hear different, I will post.

Sorry to here about the waiting. All things considered, I will have to admit they did get a warehouse pretty darn quick. Hope I don't get a first hand look at that mess anytime soon
. The 3k truck deal came from a meeting on the "state of Tango" in the office. Personally, I think that is one big ambitious plan looking at this economy. DM's are trying to put a stop to all the confusion on the fleet messages being sent out concerning where to go with the trash paper.

Are any of you guys still with Tango? I was wondering if they have much going in/out of or through NC and if they hire in the Jacksonville, NC area? Do they still run mostly paper?
-
I'm still withTango...............for now...................They use to have alot of NC but I haven't been getting any of them lately. Are you a O/O or wanting a company position or do their lease??
-
Well I was thinking about company, but I have also been looking into buying my own truck as well. There is a company in Indianapolis called quality equipment sales that has a L/P and Tango is one of the "approved carriers" that you can lease on with. Do you know anything about that?
Edit: I see your in greenville, I just moved to New Bern and that's why I'm looking for something new my company requires to live within 100 miles of our terminal.trucker43 Thanks this. -
I've got a couple friends I know that are doing that L/P and they arent doing bad....not getting rich....but still netting $1k to $1500 a week after everything. The only downside to tango is my average deadhead home is about 200 miles on my dime eversince the IP plant in Franklin,Va is or has already shutdown, they will pay you from the house but not to the house. Where we live not too many companies will hire that far east, I had to tell Tango I didn't care about the deadheading home on my dime but at the time it was only like 90 miles.outerspacehillbilly and trucker43 Thank this. -
How often do you go home or are you within feasible miles of home so you could deadhead home if you chose to? Sounds like it might not be too bad. I'll definitely give them a call and talk to them. Do they pay a referral? If so let me know your info and I will put you down on the app. Yeah I have noticed not many people want to hire you being east of 95 from everyone I've talked to.

I usually run 3 to 5 weeks (depending on what the bank acct look's like lol) then take 7 to 10 days off. I will usually deliver somewhere around 200 to 250 miles from home and deadhead from there.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Still here at Tango myself...I think this is my seventh year here..getting that crs disease..lol
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Are they doing the L/P through Tango directly or through the Quality Equipment Sales in Indy?
