60 series engine calibration

if someone would be willing to teach, id do it myself. I love tickering & learing new things. I did uti then got a job at bmw but pay was terrible at only 15$ hr. I regret not doing the diesal course and getting a job in that then becoming a trucker. I can always go back but got too many bills now.

 

Thanks to you guys i will be doing it around 100k for now on, but still really want to learn how to do it myself. Am still learning about diesal trucks. Minus paint n interior my truck mechanically in almost new condition for a 96 and i get 8+ mpg around 70mph. If the wind is nice i get around 10. I love this truck n it will prob die with me. I love dyno stuff. Would like to take my truck to Pittsburgh power in PA someday.

 

Well i want to make it better cause i only go 67-70 due to having a 2.9 rear diff ratio and am at 1250-1280rpms in 13th gear, So i wanted put a 3.36 ratio, remove the power divider, move the rear diff to the front and put a dead axle. I want to go 65mph at like 1300-1350rpms.

Am already heading to miami tomm and just going to get the overhead done, so i dont have to come to Miami atleast until next year or never again. I have a guys number from Charlotte that supposetly does the overhead for 350$ according to the driver i met in Laredo. I would like to find some near Austin or San Antonio that does it since i like an hr from there.

 

I go to SC alot so prob see you next year if your still doing overheads by then. Btw do you install crank pulleys?

I wanted to install one of those vibratech dampers and think i saw somewhere a aluminum 3 belt pulley somewhere.

 

I hear ya...my back has been not 100 percent either since last year i had a accident in my car with a dam deer and then i decided to do massive hand sanding/paint. I have gone to the chiro and gotten lots of massages at places, still not like i use to be. I just moved also so that didnt help either. Cant wait to go home and rest in which i doubt ill do cause when i get home from the road i just want to do a million things. Also the truck needs a oil change.
