Obtaining CDL permits

you typicaly can get a study guide from your drivers services dept (dmv), which is where you'll take the tests . Lotsa luck!

I am considering getting my C.D.L.s and becoming a truck driver, I am diabetic and on insulin. Will this cause me not to be able to pass the D.O.T. physical?

I am not, repeat not up to snuff enough on regs to advise anyone, but this question has come up before. Don't give up until you get an absolute NO!

 

as long as you know of the condition and have steps, knowlege and training how to control the condition, you should be fine. I say "should" because every little state needs to have their own way of dealing with things.

Type 1 or Type 2? how long have you had diabetes?

Passed on first attempt.

Good for you Swaps! I've known folks who have taken several shots at it before passing. That test is nothing to take lightly!
