Swift advertises "no contract" and I think what that means is, if you want to leave within 12 mos. you must pay for the cdl school which is prorated for the time you spent there. That info is on the following website.

The OP's message was announcing he got his Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP), not his CDL. He has passed the computer tests at the Dept of Motor Vehicles for General, Combination, and Air-Brakes. With his CLP he is legal to drive a semi-truck with a CDL holder, usually and instructor, in the truck with him. Most states require you pass a DOT Medical Exam and pass the computers tests to get your CLP. You still have to receive in-truck driving and backing practice, then pass a state test on pre-trip inspection and road test.
