Wondering if someone could help with any information about removing and replacing vent windows on a KW W900? I’ve got the nut off of the bottom stud of the vent window frame. Trying to figure out how to get the pin at the top to release the whole frame without messing up the weather stripping.

Never worked on KW. My Freightliner has 1 or 2 screws on the outside door frame. Between the weatherstrip and outer door skin. The vent/frame comes out as an assembly intact. Once out, there’s another screw that holds the top hinge pin, to change the glass. Also a spring and nut assemble on the bottom hinge. Clean it all up, to make it open and close better. You can loosen it, or tighten it as needed, to get the perfect operation. Along with some WD and grease to keep the spring from rusting and keeping the vent working good.

With the door panel off, window down, door open, loosening the screws and maybe a bolt? The whole vent and frame come off as one. Once off, you can swap the vents, the weatherstrip. You have to take the whole assembly off the door, to get at the top hinge and really the bottom bolt and spring to change the glassw/ frame.
