Golden Way Transport apparently doesn't adhere to the Golden Rule. I'm glad the officer and driver made it ok though.

I don't see the problem. Isn't smashing into patrol cars alongside the road an ok thing to do?

Distraction (phone?), unjust ticket retaliation, racism, hate, suicide by cop?..

I don't see why Michigan is any different than anywhere else. They run into cars nationwide, LEO or not. We used to try and blow the troopers hat off, destroying their cruiser is a bit much, however.

So much for the "move over " laws.
I guess this driver thought you moved over into the lane the cop was in.

You know, Hawk, we don't hear the drivers side, as crazy as it sounds. I mean, one can see overhead lights for 1/2 mile, to me, it signaled a "doins" and better back out of it and move over. I pixxed off a lot of 4 wheelers, but figured, it was better than endangering the officer. (My favorite situation was when the upset 4 wheeler, swings in the right lane, only to see a police car on the shoulder) Wouldn't you like to corral this driver with a crowbar and say, "What are you doing?" While I try and give them the benefit, today, it's coming up more and more, just out right plain stupidity or more accurately, they just don't think it can happen to them, even though they pass wrecks all the time. What do you do with a driver like this? Give them another truck? Lesson learned the hard way and just the cost of doing business today? Again, something is going to have to make the decisions for these drivers, they can't do it themselves.

    i don't even care anymore.

glad the trooper is ok, i could care less about the trucker

these accidents have gotten out of hand.

the one's i really feel sorry for, are you guys/gals that have a long way to go to retire, or get out and find something better.

this only goes to make things tougher on the industry, and frankly, i could care less.

until dumbarse truckers get SOLID jail time, steep fines, HUGE civil lawsuits, CDL licenses revoked for life, this dog crap will go on and on.

i also say to make it mandatory for in cab cameras, outside cameras, speed recorders, event recorders, and ram it all up the truckers butt when he gets into ANY accident.

i am so glad, as i have said a few times before, that i don't have to defend my former job as a trucker, to anyone no more.

ya'll gonna get hung by the short hairs, cuz of these morons.

I've made a suggestion for the "solution" in a different thread, just a bit of brain storming, but should get at least some of the attention from "above" and more brain storming from the others, if they may.

That “move over” sign would have to be in 20 different languages to even start to be of any use
