Had an accident a couple of days ago, alls good but insurance will take care of it. Cosmetic damage. Well decided to drop my trailer and head home to get repairs. 900 mile out of my destination passenger side steer tire blew out and now I’m stuck.

Anyone know if I can have a low boy that can haul it the rest of the way? Or am I stuck with a giant tow bill to have it transported 900 miles?

    Boondock and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Might call road service for a new steer tire? Is there other damage now that prevents driving it with a new tire?

It’s going to depend on your height and the deck height of the trailer to be loaded on.
    Where you at now?

Rim and steer tire plus road service call is your best bet. Any other damage?

You are dropping your trailer and bouncing over 900 miles to get cosmetic repairs done?
As said before, put a tire on it and go.

You need to try and figure out what caused the blowout. If the accident was on the side where the front tire that blew out check it carefully and see if something was rubbing. If you can either determine if the tire just failed by it self, or was rubbing and can temporarily fix it replace the tire.

Where you at? You’re BT? Trailers dropped somewhere empty? Is all you need a tire? Or rim too? Tire must have accident damage. Insurance claim comes to mind. Not having towing coverage, the bill will be high.

    Boondock Thanks this.

I have roadside coming out, they will replace the tire and I will be limping to the nearest mechanic shop that can do alignment and replace the headlight.

go home get things fixed and see if I can get back out on the road.

issue is the alignment, and not sure if the new tire will get eaten as well before I get to the shop.

Tire getting replaced today just under a bit of stress at the moment as the past week been tough. One issue after another
