I have yet to see it. I heard its more common in the southern half of the state but I have never been bothered there either. I don't know anyone who has been ticketed for idling. The only places I know of that are actively messing with drivers about this are the ports. I could care less about CA's idling laws. If its too hot or too cold, I'll run the truck.

Both TA's in Ontario have had drivers ticketed for idling...seen it with my own two itty-bitty eyeballs...

The last time I was in CA was when I was at Camp Pendleton being processed for Viet Nam . I don't see that changing . :biggrin_25512:

They dont do it when its 110*F + in South Texas either :biggrin_2559:
Just cause they stomp their foot and go boo doesn't mean you have to jump and run scared.

If by chance you get a "hard ticket" instead of a warning, just pay it and continue resting easy.
    People blow more money(take chances) on lottery tickets . . . . . :biggrin_25517:

Pure luck. They raided that truck stop NW of NYC while I was there. Demanded everyone shut their trucks down. That's where the drivers ended up posting a watch at either end of the road to holler on the radio when the bears were coming.

Maybe its high time drivers start refusing to go to those states that have anti idle laws, and see how bare the store shelves get, then maybe the anti idle laws will go away. We can all thank Al dork Gore for this crap.
