Why?

I get the bs, soup Nazi crap but … almost all rice box ham radios suck on am. There is a couple exceptions but hell I had a flex that once the audio strip was setup right, it was broadcast quality >>>>> way better than any of Mark’s work. (Ok rabbi …. Let’s hear how I’m wrong!).

Re dave white..Well i dont bash until i see or hear and in some vids its easy to hear so i say so,cant dr a vid to sound muffled and distored n such so i comment on it..I have driven through pa in a # of directions and hear the drama and crappy sounding radios that dave has done(based on users mouth) so i commented..I know how so many want a clean radio and from what i have seen and what i did hear in pa,dave wasnt up to the task..Now with wolfman i have personal experience with them and i commented there to....

Re the fb goups i go in to pass on what info i know of and its usually those insecure lil oys with fake accounts who create the drama,doesnt bother me a bit cajse its jjst to funny how they get sooo worked up...Actually ill sometime try and trigger them just to get a rise outta them"Cracks me up somethin fierce"...
My issue is that so many blindly follow what others say and i just show and suggest they research before they spend their $$....

Do i hear mark,yeap a few times here in novascotia i could hear him but it didnt last long cause of conditions but i can also hear many others to..
Atleast marks is worlds away from what most produce,nothin worse than muffled over modded scatter boxes from down the seaboard and further on the super bowl....
How do i fix that,kick back the gain or shut it off....I dont "NEED" a radio to figure out road conditions or if an accident up the road has things at a stop cause i do my best to pay attention...Im not one of these guys that has their feet up on the dash while driveing,tv to watch on their dash or fave buried in a phone..Most times when i ran the usa my radio was down or off cause of typical crap sounding radios and drama queens repeating ####,over echoed,just like the trk stops...When that gets on my nerves(most times its 20 mins or so)i shut off the radio cause it will never stop..Some how i have managed 26+ yrs and not be bi#$hin about what i cant fix with how others use their radios....

Ok point, mark or his aliases/fans/cult followers all claim to have great audio that no one can achieve.

Many act like this is the best of the best of the best even heard in the either …. Ever!

back when am was king, broadcast am that is, there were companies that made equipment that sang loud and clean.

then solid state happened and we returned to the age of sounding like we all had carbon mics (look it up) and muffled until the cb gods gave us mark and his anointing of cb radios with his super powers.

now steps up new technology which is software define radio, flex radio is one such radio.

Many who own them use preprocessing stuff to make it sound great on ssb and am (look up essb).

It isn’t difficult to make it sound great -sometimes better than marks work, but as jdchet said he is going to go get a ham radio and it sounds just as good (implied) out of the box, which only a few could … sdr is one that can be setup to sound better, that’s my point.

I have owned a lot of radios, new high end ham rigs to military radios (sitting next to me in my truck right now is a PRC-320 clansman hf rig) and it is something from experience that seems others don’t get … just because it is a ham radio doesn’t mean it is the best for communicating.

 

So if it aint hard to do,why are so many not doing it???
Nothin out of the box is gonna sound awsome yes they may sound good but not awsome...
All this sdr and processing,tweeking of what ever,compression e t ect is alot more than most are willing to biy gear,study njst to use on the road...Thats why the radio industry has these techs for,yes most still dont know and are not that invested in it but some are...In "My" opinion hard drive is one of those who can do alot more than most who brag at what they can do but cant show or prove it.
Its the same with anything,there are those who go nads deep into it and some who just enjoy it...Just because i own two sport bikes and i can ride pretty well,it dont make me Mr Moto gp...
Hard drive does what he does and produces some awsome work and many have said so and very few have complained when they have had his radios..
Im not gonna say or think hd is a god but god #### he is good..
