When I put my Wilson trucker sw 2000 antennas on I can only talk about a half mile if that. I haven't had them tuned yet. I put my friends 5ft Francis antennas I can talk about mile. They are hooked to a 18ft coax, into my cobra 29 night watch with a built in 150 watt linear. Thanks for any help in advance.

I think the loads should be abovethe cab as far as extensions you might have to check with a CB shop somewhere and if you are running two antennas they need to be 9 feet apart.

    Moparkid Thanks this.

According to wilson the trucker antenna coil needs to be above the roof. if you are gonna use a francis or any other antenna then it is best to atleast get the top part of the antenna above the roof

    Moparkid Thanks this.

you need to tune your wilson before you can compare the two

and yes you need the coils higher than the roof
