Because we don't care to do it. We're not electronic techs. We're truck drivers and use the CB as a tool to operate safely and help other trucks do the same. These techs are raging ######## who should choose another channel for their pissing contests.

I usually squelch them out of turn down my receive but a couple of weeks ago that strategy failed me and it never should have happened in the first place. I would never use any services from some tool that does what any of these losers do on 19. A stock radio and a power mic is better anyway.

 

Plus you'll save lots of $$$$'s.

Yes a stock tune can be much better that what most so called "Techs" can do..

 

I met another driver a while back who had one of Mark Sherman's radios. He was having issues with it so he took it to another shop. They had to fix his work. They claimed really bad solder joints and burnt capacitors were the issue.

 

Basically a cut throat responce,means $ in that techs pocket...

 

Totally different issue bub....What that tech said "was" wrong may not have been the issue but said it just to make the $....
We have no idea what kinda set up or the way the radio was used to say so and so tech put in bad parts...
If you think for a min though,if solder joints were that bad,which ones were bad,marks or factory...If some caps were burnt out then likely abused some how....Just a broad statement to say some tech said this n that is bull pucky...
Its like blameing a choo choo train for running over your legs but didnt tell you he was drunk and fell asleep on the tracks..
