Do you guys think 1500-1800 miles a week avg is acceptable when you're expected to stay away from home for 21-28 days at a time? Marten Transport out of Mondovi thinks it is. And they'll FIRE you for complaining about it, right after they smudge your DAC report.

Not acceptable in my book unless they pay you by the hour or pay you $1.00 per mile.

That is very unacceptable in my book, unless like peanut butter said, they are paying you a dollar a mile. Thats about all I can get in a week sometimes but I get paid pretty good so it all works out.

2,500 to 2,700 is "acceptable" for averages, you have to take the good with the bad.

    On occasion? Yup it happens.

On a regular basis? Not a chance! Have some Marten drivers who came over during the worst of it last year... I see things haven't changed a lot.

I depends - if they are stealing 14cpm per diem or they are paying you 14cpm per diem. =at 27cpm you are definately on the low end and with 1500-1800 miles a week 400-500$ a week before taxes + road expenses.

    At 55cpm I may take that -$750-900 a week.

So Marten Transport is the only trucking company with so-so mileages. Everyone else is doing 2700-3000 consistently, right?

I can't speak for the smaller, higher paying, companies. I work for Central which is another large company and right now is just the slow season for us. Hopefully, it'll pick back up when produce season starts. I'm averaging about the same.
